Moving On, Transitioning to New Beginnings

New Beginnings

Thoughts of new beginnings start surfacing around this time of year. New Years Day is right around the corner and so many of us are making resolutions to begin on a new journey in the new year. So many times that journey can only begin when we end and move on from a different journey we are currently on.

The old and new journeys  may include a job, a friendship, a marriage, a weight loss plan or a number of different things.  It can be both exciting and terrifying at the same time. We need to find courage to leave what is familiar to us and venture off into the unknown.

Recently FamilyAffaires.com Contributor, Dr. Dan Gottlieb, made the decision to end his over 30 year weekly radio show, Voices in the Family. Although the show will still be aired 6 times a year, it was a huge decision for Dr. Dan to walk away after doing the show weekly for almost half his lifetime.

Dr. Dan shares with FamilyAffaires.com Advocate & Family Expert Roseann Vanella the various feelings he had to deal with and what his plans will be for the future.
