Happiness

Many times the most difficult person to forgive is yourself.  FamilyAffaires.com Expert Contributor, Dr. Dan Gottlieb explains how we are our own worse critic.  We tend to expect so much of ourselves, leaving little room for mistakes or forgiveness.

Dr. Gottlieb believes that the origin comes from guilt and guilt can be healthy but we can also feel too much guilt.  Instead we should learn from our mistakes, learn to be more kind and make the world a better place.  The critical self judge will not help us it will only make us feel worse.

Forgiving oneself is absolutely critical to live a healthy life. Dr. Gottlieb believes that when we only focus on ourself, we need to broaden our lens to see the bigger picture.
